Ample, secure parking leads to the imposing stone, wood and thatch entrance, which is flanked by massive tusks. For the décor alone, the newest BOMA is well worth a visit! Set in lush, verdant gardens with an original water feature, the restaurant is flanked by a well-stocked curio shop offering authentic art, crafts and souvenirs and a conference centre on the opposite side. BOMA Boksburg is divided into five separate areas celebrating various African cultures. An intimate atmosphere is created, and although BOMA seats 500 guests, it’s suitable for celebrations of any size. Kenyan Masai masks glow on the walls and an indoor water feature flows over a rockery. Dramatic murals of the famous Big Five and fierce warriors of a bygone era lead the eye to the buffet area and adjoining shebeen. (The famous shebeen, with its beer, wine and soda fountain, has been re-introduced due to overwhelming public demand. |
